The Major Aspects Making A Relationship; (pt. 5) The Vibe.

Concluding what I call The Five Major Aspects That Make Relationships work, carrying on from last year, I would like to end with the Vibe. I think this is one that holds everything else together.

We’re all built differently. Everyone has different energy levels especially when it comes to dealing with other people & it takes certain situations for them to exhibit their true selves. As some are introverts, some are ambiverts (me) & others, are extroverts.

Vibe is so important in a relationship because for some, it helps keep the other partner in check. Sometimes a very active person needs someone docile to keep them in check otherwise they would become a nuisance. On the other hand, two crazy people would make an interesting couple because there would be no one else that could handle them on their own. So it’s better they get together & go with the flow.

Personally, I would like a partner who talks, not the chatterbox kind but not one who would sit with me in the house & we both end up looking at each other like we having mass. We need to talk. We need to open up to each other without fear of being judged. That’s vibe. We need to laugh at the same jokes. Dance & sing along to the music, enjoy movies but not wear matching patterns stuff (I am still to catch that vibe).

I should not have to be scared to say stuff before you for fear that they may trigger you off into a prayer session or a visit to the counselor. My vibe is dancing on the streets, running in the rain, and smooching when others are watching. The world, our witness. Yes, I can be crazy but then I would do well with a girl that can keep me in check.

However, the whole thing about the vibe between a couple is dependent on how a couple feels about each other. There are times when a couple of different vibes gets together & leaves people wondering how the hell they are doing it.

Remember when Jose Chameleon married Daniela, a reverend’s daughter? That was some vibe nobody expected & that’s the beauty of love.

Have you ever been out & about & then you see this couple that is so engrossed in each other you may think they’re twinning? Walking around hand in hand, jumping on the street, laughing at each other’s jokes eating out of each other’s plates & whatnot? Then you ask yourself, ‘what kind of energy these guys are feeding on?’ That, what you are seeing before you, is the vibe. Their vibe is matching.

May this new year not lack that vibe in everything you do. Happy 2023.

  1. I’m back on my fav blog. Yes vibes / energies should match so that you can yourself around your partner. Dating someone who matches your vibe will avoid situations where one wants to be the headmaster in the relationship, trying to correct how you should behave etc.
